A presentation and book signing of “Bayou Pigeon, LA-Spirit of the Atchafalaya” will be held on Saturday, February 16th at 1:00 p.m.  The authors will present a special program that documents the old-time traditions and folk-life culture of Bayou Pigeon.  The program will include a live power point presentation that will focus on the logging industry connection between Bayou Pigeon and Patterson.  There will also be printed material, illustrations, story tellers, and songs and music by Mr. Calvin LeBlanc.  All combined, the program will present a history that shortly will be lost to the passage of time.  Autographed copies of the Bayou Pigeon book will be available, as well as the “Justilien Michel Family” book and the autobiography of Ms. Vivian Landry Solar.  The program is free of charge and open to the public, but interested persons are encouraged to call the library at 985-395-2777
